The rules of the desk are public. The net is not. Read these terms, then request Trade Access. Specifier accounts use this page. Authorized dealers receive a separate letter after approval.

Pricing confidential to approved accounts — on the quote only.

Holds default to ten business days unless the quote states otherwise.

Commissions: fifty percent deposit to commence.

Title passes per these Trade Terms.

Purchase of the object does not transfer copyright in image or poem.

A trade purchase is not a donation.
Who holds an account
Licensed or credentialed design, architecture, hospitality, gallery, dealer, or advisory firms. A resale certificate is required if you resell. Personal collectors use the public gallery.
How a project runs
Brief the room. Specify the object. Approve the quote and hold. Deliver by crate or white-glove when contracted. Document with COA, care notes, and photo credit. Full sequence on the Process page.
What you buy
The physical object and its Certificate of Authenticity. Not the copyright. Not the poem as text. Not the Painted Poem mark. Install photography is permitted with credit: Painted Poem by E. Laurence Bake, The Poets Foundation. Full-poem reprints are not.
Holds, commissions, delivery
A written hold is a courtesy reservation, not a sale. Commissioned work enters the studio after a fifty percent deposit. Installation is included only when the quote names it. Inspect within forty-eight hours for visible transit damage; five business days for concealed damage. Completed edition sales are final except for mis-ship.

The controlling text is the Trade Terms PDF, effective 5 September 2026. Submitting a Trade Access application, requesting a quote, placing a hold, or paying a deposit constitutes acceptance. Dealer net and MAP live in a private letter, not on this page.
